Like the rest of the world, the cancer community is consumed by news and fears surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Even the healthiest of families are rightly concerned about the potentially lethal impact of COVID-19 to their loved ones. But for cancer victims undergoing treatment and cancer survivors with compromised immune systems, the threat is amplified.

The Jefferson County cancer victims who reach out to the Cancer Coalition need food, rent, utility support, mortgage assistance, medical bill support, and more.

You can support your Jefferson County neighbors and friends who are fighting cancer today.

Join us in supporting the Jefferson County Cancer Coalition! This event is the primary fundraiser for our organization. Your participation generates much-needed funds to allow us to continue supporting local individuals and their families fighting cancer right here in Jefferson County. And, because the Coalition is 100% volunteer driven, you can be confident that every golf registration dollar directly supports a neighbor undergoing cancer treatment.

$65/golfer includes 9 holes of golf, cart, JCOCC apparel, and food after your round!

This year’s Frosty Balls Golf Outing will have a different format than in years past. We are taking every precaution necessary to create a healthy and safe outing. In order to ensure the safety of all participants at this year’s event, we will be switching to a tee-time format rather than the usual shotgun start. Tee-times begin at 11:00am and run until 2:00pm. You will be able to choose if you would like an early, middle, or late tee-time while registering online and will receive your team’s scheduled tee-time and starting hole one week prior to the event.

Individual carts will be available to those requesting them to assist with social distancing. If an individual cart is not requested at time of ticket purchase, carts will be shared amongst your foursome.

With health and safety being our top priority, the following changes have also been made. The silent auction is being switched to a raffle to ensure all tee-times have a fair chance at winning. Raffle tickets will be available for both pre-purchase and at the event. There will be no Bloody Mary Bar, on-course food, on-course games, live auction, or final reception. Food will be provided in the clubhouse after your round. Distanced seating will be available in the bar area and outdoors.

Although the mask mandate currently is only issued until September 28, we are asking all participants to wear a mask when in the clubhouse or interacting with volunteers/staff at the registration and raffle tables. Many of our participants/volunteers are cancer victims or survivors and we want to be mindful of all immunocompromised persons and their health.

We are fortunate to be able to still hold this event, as it is outdoors where social distancing is possible. Please keep in mind that these changes are for this year only (hopefully!) and we plan to bring the traditional Frosty Balls format back next year! We thank you for your continued support and patience as we work through fundraising during a pandemic.
